Sale held its annual knockout on the weekend with 51 teams and some of Australia's best players including Sam Brisby, Dylan Thompson and Leah Percy in attendance.
The men’s and women’s sections were played on Saturday with the following results:-
Women’s “A” - Synergise 10 to Latrobe University Imperial Eagles 2.
Women's "B" - ENUF 4 to Ballarat Dolls 3 in extra time.
Men's "A" - Tune Squad 5 to Maori Saiyanz 3
Men's "B" - Ballarat 6 to Monash University Shredders 1
In the mixed competition played on Sunday the results were:-
Mixed "A" Division - Falcons 5 to Mixed Grill 3
Mixed Social - Monash University Pinky and the Brain 6 defeated Ballarat 1
The Laurie Smyth Perpetual Award for the player showing true sportsman ship in the Mixed Social Division was won by Rachel Davine from Melbourne.
The 2014 Sale Knockout is scheduled for the 12th & 13th April at Stephenson Park.
